About “Godri” or “Gudri”:

Our “Godri” or “Gudri” quilts are lovingly hand-stitched by talented women from the neighboring villages of Kutch. These quilts consist of two layers of multi-colored patchwork fabric, meticulously sewn together using a thick Cotton thread. There is thin layer of cotton stuffing; and the beauty lies in the quilting pattern of running stitches that crisscross through the length and width of the Godri.

Craftsmanship:

Ajrakh Block Printing: Our quilts showcase the age-old tradition of Ajrakh, a revered technique of vegetable dyeing and resist block-printing on cloth. This art form, which originated in Kutch, dates back nearly 4,500 years and is predominantly practiced by the Khatri community of Kutch and Sikh.

For the initial wash, please hand wash separately in cold water. Subsequently, machine washing is acceptable
